Although I have been making art and props by hand professionally for over a decade, in the last few years I have been exploring more contemporary ways of realizing my ideas. To that end I have been exploring digital sculpture and CAD with a specific focus on 3D printed objects.
In addition to my own work, I have worked with prop and puppet makers, theaters, foundry's, and individuals to design and create 3D Printed objects. Together we can rapidly go from initial concept to final product. In addition I have consulted with artists and professionals on how best to incorporate 3D Printing and Design into their own work and speak often about my own practice and how it has developed with the introduction of 3D Printing and digital sculpting. From industrial design, to rapid prototyping to final products, this new field has already led to diverse and innovative results that would not have been possible if made just by hand.
